what it was about…

Me, Jajadènene, would like to leave you a message about the lingering (I love the word “lingering”) in this body, here in Maastricht (NL).

The watery curtains, the sounds and feeling of the long skirts brushing near my ears when I was laying there, the colored worlds of red, pink, blue, and purple when I looked behind the curtains.

At the last page of my personal notebook, I wrote down what it was about…

about the eyes

about the… EYES

about time

about waiting

about holding

about appearing

about a body just touching another body

about the lingers

about stirring

about this empty, endless state of…

about the lack of light

about the care of my awareness

about the care of time

about the care of the placement of my body

about a place that exists

about knowing this place exists

about elements

about combining them with formulas of intuition

The outdoors are important to me, as they help me sense myself and tune into my freedom in a way.

So, I was a bit hesitant to “lock” myself in, handing over my time and space.

But the first touch with my hands I could give to the Octopus, made me feel that I was in a familiar place.

A state I’ve been exploring for a long time. A depth from within.

Experiencing this fluid state with others for a longer time opened up some hidden desires, both as a human and as an artist.

It evoked what I love dearly: the way to communicate through my sensuous body by touch, eyes, elements, and sensations.

And that I can trust my participants’ capability to engage and follow along.

A bow with the crown… to you all
