Sisters Hope is part of Performing Landscapes. With kindreds from all the land we travel all over the land and immerse in all the land to evoke Sensuous Learning encounters and our Poetic Self.
Participate in a performative presentation of Sisters Hope’s art method Sensuous Learning, which has been developed and refined by the group since 2008. The performative interventions will consist of interactive and exploratory exercises and rituals and are based on the concept of ‘The Poetic Self’ – the idea that we all have an inherent poetic core.
On a performative walk in the landscape, we explore and express our personal poetic stories and sensuous experiences through the encounter with our poetic self and the surroundings – Inner and outer landscapes.
Sisters Hope argues that the aesthetic dimension has been under-prioritized since the Enlightenment and the Industrialisation, when cognitive and rational perceptions were prioritized over sensuous experiences. Through our artistic practice, we seek to revive the aesthetic dimension by focusing on how art can be integrated into everyday life – To activate a Sensuous Society.
