What is the relationship between space and behavior? How does space guide our behavior? These – among others – are the questions that The Gaze tries to understand. The Gaze observes and studies people, makes notes and tries to draw conclusions.
During Sisters Academy in Malmö, The Gaze will use his time to research these questions inside the academy. He will investigate how to research these questions in artistic ways. During his stay in the academy he will try different ways to approach these questions – for example visually, verbally, individually and in dialogue with others. The work will then result in a class.
The work done as The Gaze during the Sisters Academy is a part of a broader study in how performative space relates to audience behavior and will most probably be used as a case study in Fabian Nybergs MA thesis in scenography.
