The artistic director, Gry Worre Hallberg has been awarded with the Appreciation Award by the The Danish Artist Association

They write: The appreciation for the work with innovation and dissemination of performing arts is given this year to an artist who manages to embody and mirror many social trends in his own artistic distinctiveness. Rooted in a core that is about aesthetics and sustainability, Gry Worre Hallberg works with research, performance and activism in new formats and in non-traditional stage spaces. As a starting point for many of Gry’s projects, there is a message about the power of the aesthetic; that is, art’s ability to transform through community, identity and recognition. Through lectures, interactive city walks and much more, Gry tells and shows his audience what an important role art plays for all people and our society. The colleagues want to appreciate Gry’s work with innovation and communication, which may seem narrow, but which embraces the whole world. Congratulations.
