The Black Hole – Infinity

“With a cosmos of structures in the back, the black ball in front of me seemed undefined in size. Was it far away and large, or close and small? Did it tower over solar systems or could I hold in the balm of my hand?
The entire universe rewound; explosions imploded and left behind stars, that became proto stars, that became clouds of gas.
My black hole was just still.
The distant galaxies came closer. In the tangles of emptiness far away electrons found atoms to sit on, and then in more places, until only bubbles of ionised matter lied near the galaxies.
My black hole just stood still.
The universe itself got warmer, as if the heat of the rays of the sun were shining at me from all sides. I couldn’t find a place in the shadow.
As I was getting nearer and nearer to this Big Bang, the black hole moved out of my site.”
