We have been given a temporary home at KUNSTEN Museum of Modern Art in Aalborg while we await our new home Center of the Sensuous in Copenhagen.

Kunsten has invited Sisters Hope to create a space in which the museum’s art collection is temporarily given a new home. Here, the artworks acquire new meanings in the encounter with the sound, texture and atmosphere of Sisters Hope’s artistic universe.
Inspired by Sisters Hope’s latest perennial performance work, Sisters Hope Home, art is not something we merely observe but something we live in – and even inhabit. This means that our senses are the guiding principle and that art can become a catalyst for new understanding of our everyday lives, our surroundings and the concept of change. Sisters Hope Home explored domesticity and what living in a Sensuous Society would be like.

With this exhibtion the decades long performance art work of Sisters Hope is exhibited and celebrated and made accesible to the general public.
