Sisters Academy in Italy opens.

For the last month we have been preparing for the grand opening at Palazzo Naselli in Aragona, Sicily as one of the comissioned international large-scale international performances of Agrigento – Capitale Italiana della Cultura 2025.

In this month we have moved in to the Palazzo, been in close dialouge with the local community that we live right next to, of whom many have went to school in this place, which is also an old orrphanage and monestry. It has been incredibly rewarding to be so close with the local community of this mountain city of Sicily – Aragona. We have hosted open house and done school workshop and today we recieve our 24h inhabitants that enroll as students at this boarding school of a Sensuous Society that we have created. It is a unique artistic experience of living inside the art in a shared exploration of what the school, education and learning in a Sensuous Society would be. We also welcome visting artists and researchers from all over the world who have responded to and been selected through our open call shared earlier this spring. We will also receive school classes from Sicily for shorter visits and in our Sensuous Learning program.

With this program we take art to next level and shows how powerful it can be, when we devote ourselves completely to the art piece as the 8-10 performers of Sisters Hope have done and will do for 2 full months in Aragona, Agrigento.
