SISTERS ACADEMY IN ITALY
We have just manifested our award-wining performance Sisters Academy in Italy as one of the few commisioned international pieces of Agrigento’s artistic program as Italian capital of culture 2025.
In this large-scale celebrated format the former orphanage Palazzo Naselli d’Aragona was transformed into the complete performance-installation, Sisters Academy – The Boarding School where Sisters Hope performers will staff an experimental boarding school in a potential future Sensuous Society. Audience-participants can only access the school by enrolling as a student for 24 hours. A stay at the school naturally included a night in the school dormitory. The students entered another world, where the sensuous and poetic mode of being defined all actions and interactions. These values also inform the teaching and learning experiences at the school, and during their stay the students begun the discovery and unfoldings of their own Poetic Self.
2025 is also the tenth year aniversary of Sisters Academy – The Boarding School.
