KUNSTEN Museum of Modern Art Aalborg has commissioned Sisters Hope to curate their collection and install it in a viusal reenactment of Sisters Hopes unique inhabitational performance piece Sisters Hope Home (2020-2024) in an ambitous new largescale performance-exhibition.

The exhibition invites you into a completely transformed KUNSTEN – into the universe of Sisters Hope. Here you will encounter mysterious objects from the universe of Sisters Hope as well as artworks from the KUNSTENs collection. Throughout the exhibition, you will have the opportunity to participate in Sisters Hope’s unique performance universe, which opens up new perspectives on the means of art.

KUNSTENs art collection is the museum’s most important foundation, forming the cornerstone of the museum’s exhibitions, communication and research activities. It reflects a time, a society and a perspective that once existed and that we wish to preserve for posterity. With the exhibition project Sisters Hope & KUNSTEN, KUNSTEN entrusts its permanent collection to Sisters Hope – for a renewed and alternative perspective on our shared cultural heritage. Explored through the lense of a Sensuous Society.

At the opening Sisters Hope will perform their performance piece Initiation. 

During the exhibtion Sisters Hope will activate it performatively among other through the durational inhabitational performance piece Flowing Inhabitation and the reocurring performance manifestation Evoking The Poetic Self and Archiving.
