
It’s not a competition, it’s nature The sunlight can’t bless everything As the trees grow taller Their crowns cast shadows wider The forest floor flattens Giving way to larger mammals Further picking apart shrubbery That is until a fire blazes through A lifetime event changes everything In the nights blink of an eye The crowns fall And all is reset To start anew How would your forest grow If you had the courage to set it ablaze ?
