In the fall, Sisters Hope has been invited as one of 12 practitioners and researchers from different fields to share perspectives on society today inspired by The Golden Age. For this occasion, we will share our thoughts on, and experience with, education for the future and Sensuous Society.
In the fall, Sisters Hope will contribute to the symposium ‘Experience as a Source of Knowledge in Aesthetic Research’ at Lund University, which will be followed up by a workshop.
In 2017, or Infinity Stone Air Earth, we transformed Den Frie Udstillingsbygninginto a sensuous Boarding School – Sisters Academy -The School of Sensuous Society. As an ‘audience-participant’ you had to stay for at least 24 hours and sleep in the school dormitory installed in one of the gallery rooms and do Sensuous Learning classes. In 2015, Sisters Hope manifested at the Prague Quadrennial for the first time, and this spring, we will be back at to present our method and share perspectives on how scenography and immersive frameworks ca play a key role in new and more sensuous and poetic modes of learning. And how scenography and performance can lead to deep transformative experiences.
We have been invited to manifest at this year’s Berlin FRATZ Theater Festival as a part of their symposium & gathering with the theme ‘Another world’.
Arriving at our visions was like a cleansing. It was a process of embodying and celebrating the unknown. A fiest of the sensuous. We have been invited to present our work to young makers as a part of Thesmoforia Festival.
Last year, we presented at Communicating the Museum Brussels, and this year we have been invited back to do a performance at this year’s conference Communicating the Artsin Copenhagen.
